It's a pain experience..
眼痛、心痛
heart pain cos of the expensive medical bill
especially for people with high degree like me.. today's the 3rd day since my operation.. waited 3days before i can look at computer screens.. terrible..
i did my surgery on the 3rd day of new yr.. which was a gd thing since mediacorp decided to close for the entire week (save on operation)..
ok back to the operation. first they bring you into the lasik suite1 to get the indent flap made. i've chosen the bladeless operation but still u can feel a tiny needles poking ur cornea when the machine starts.. ah i forgot to mention before the operation, they'll apply iodine to clean ur eyes and some medication to numb ur eye.. the effect take place almost immdiately.. so after that i had difficulties opening and closing my eyes.. haas.. quite cute la.. but look quite retard..
next they'll put a mechanic to fix my eyes in it's position, so that u cant move ur eyes.. so like that la.. lie on the machine and remain still.. and the doc will work his magic..
after the indent, i was led into another room to do the actual lasik operation. yes this is the scary part. he told me to lie down.. and den tape my lashes and eye lid so that i wont close them.. next comes the same mechanics and the same red light i've to look at during the process.. woah after he covered my left eye, he starts working on my right. apply some numbing eye drops and he starts opening my cornea.. omg la.. i wasnt expecting this but what can i do?! he flip open my cornea and the red light just turn blur everything's blur from now on.. but i'm still concious and knew wad was gg on.. the doc was nice enough to keep saying "keep still" while i try to stay calm without shivering in fear.. gosh the room's dark and everything's blur who knows what will happen next..
the laser starts attacking my eye it felt like ants biting.. next u can smell something burning.. it might be the machine, it might be my eye u never know.. i try looking for smoke but cant see anything.. everything's blurish
trust me it's the longest 10 min i've ever had.. even the doc says so too.. my degree was too high to be perfect vision again.. and the aftermath of the surgery was damn painful.. once the numbing wear off u can really feel the pain.. i couldnt even open my eye.. i couldnt sleep i couldnt see! practically blind!
mom was freaking out when she tired to apply eye drops for me.. i couldnt open my eyes so all she saw was the white of my eye haha.. u should have seen the look on her face.. she look totally helpless haha! and out of desperatism she tried to pluck open my eye lid which caused me to howled for life....... pain! i never ask her to help after tt..
doc say my eyes would need at least 1 month to recover. during this period i have to keep my eyes away from strong light glares with sunglasses..
but at least i'm experience life without glasses again haas.. had to wear these protective shield to bed every night.. cool right... :)
