Recipes

Down with flu and fever and sore throat.. *cough cough*
It's the weather and the haze la.. seems like everyone's getting the same virus tt's spreading all over singapore.. the doctor says "no more swimming until u're ok" *sound like the nursery rhyme

"5 little monkey jumping on the bed
1 fell down and broke his head
mommy call the doctor
doctor says
no more monkey jumping on the bed.."

hahas i miss my baby class!!!!

so coincidentally i'm still on diet.. but i like to eat a variety of food..i've tried to eat only vegetables and fruit for a day but hahas guess wad? dirroea la.. and most importantly i'm still hungry~!!!
so..i've been browsing ard dieting websites and voila~! this is wad i've found...healthy recipes tt's irrisistable even for the dietian.. hahas..
1st to start "wok" is...for the carnivores..

Garlic-Roasted Ham
Serves: 12
Serving Size: 4 oz (converted to 113.4g by mysterious chef)

INGREDIENTS
3 pound center-cut cooked ham
2 to 4 cloves garlic
1/3 cup molasses (it's a kind of sugar.. a by product of sugarcane)
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Peel and slice garlic. Using the tip of a paring knife, cut slits in ham roast. Insert garlic slices into slits.
3. Stir together molasses and pepper in small bowl. Spread molasses mixture over ham. Wrap ham with heavy-duty foil. Place foil-wrapped ham in roasting pan.
4. Roast for 1 1/2 -2 hours or until internal temperature as measured with a meat thermometer is 140 degrees F. (about 15-18 minutes per pound.) Serve warm or refrigerate until completely chilled. Slice for sandwiches or cube for salads or main dishes.

Cabbage Noodle Salad
Serves:6

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for dressing:
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce


Ingredients for salad:
1 small head red or green cabbage (or 1/2 of each)
2 green onions,
chopped 1 carrot, peeled
grated 1 package Ramen noodles, crushed

DIRECTIONS
1. Make dressing by combining ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to dissolve sugar.
2. Combine the first three salad ingredients, toss well. Add crushed ramen noodles and dressing to salad and toss again.
3. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors to blend.
